One Man's Opinion

Both these photos were taken at a time when I was living in an extremely ugly place and neighborhood.

The first photo was taken in the semi-abandoned factory I was living in. It is one of many that I took and became a part of a collection I called “Though Dirty Windows.”

The second was taken while working on a project with my friend Tanisha, she is a photographic artist who’s work portrays man’s destruction of the environment. We spent a lot of time at one of Johannesburg’s larger dump sites. This lonely boot in the middle of the access road caught my attention.

Some of the photos in this series are going to be poor quality, as they were taken with a cell phone camera, and not a very good cell phone at that! We all get those moments when we curse the fact that our camera is not…
