Still on the cyber research, found this interesting bit of info. In 1974 at Inyoni Rock a surfer was attacked by a juvenile dusky shark. Not many shark attacks reported on the Zululand coast. One must go south to find the big guy, Great Whites, like Cape waters, and penguins!

Minor periods last for about one or two hours. Feeding is said to be less vigorous. But if other factors like weather, tides, sunrise, etc are favorable those times could be just as good as the major times.
